These nests may contain hundreds of workers and they have the ability and an attitude to sting many times. It would be hard to get a spray in there as i don t think it would go deep enough due to gravity. Just put a small fire close by bbq or any other lit material beneath the nest. In the fall they often prefer sweets and can be a pest outdoors around soft drinks.

If wasps bees or hornets have built some sort of nest in the siding of your home you can do something about it. Nests under roof eaves or in the ground. If possible mark off any entrance holes you find so that you can easily identify them later. Spray the exit and entrance openings of the nest for one minute until the areas are thoroughly soaked.

Control should proceed with caution. Another way of destroying the nest is to squirt dishwashing liquid into the end of your hose pipe and run the water until suds appear. If bees are making nests in your walls or attic you may find dead bees in windowsills or near doors.
